About
Blind Tiger Speakeasy Spirits
Welcome to Blind Tiger Speakeasy Spirits, your destination for sophisticated, spirited beverages that celebrate the art of classic cocktails. Blind Tiger's founder story is rooted in the spirit of the Prohibition era, where people gathered at speakeasies to enjoy drinks that were otherwise banned. Rebecca Styn, founder of Erie, PA's Room 33 Speakeasy, brought her passion for this era to life by creating a sophisticated cocktail experience that captures the defining flavors of the era.
When the pandemic hit in 2020, her speakeasy was forced to provide only sans-alcohol drink options to-go, and the team rose to the challenge to create a top-notch spirit-free cocktail that mirrored the flavors of the original. As a result, in 2021, their flagship brand, Blind Tiger Spirit-Free was born - an all-inclusive luxury drink that lets you feel part of the occasion with or without alcohol.
However, recognizing the increasing desire for lower-ABV options among discerning adults, they are now proud to introduce their sister collection, Blind Tiger Speakeasy Spirits, designed to "elevate with ease," providing a ready-to-drink cocktail experience without compromising flavor or quality.
As for the name? The name "Blind Tiger" pays homage to the Prohibition-era speakeasies, where hidden establishments provided a refuge for those seeking illicit libations. These venues often displayed stuffed tigers as a clever signal to potential patrons, indicating the availability of alcohol after hours. The “tigers” were considered “blind” because, at least officially, authorities were unaware of their existence.
